Develop SMARTCity and SmartVillage technologies and services with Sagem Electronic Hungary and universities

Title: “Develop SMARTCity and SmartVillage technologies and services with Sagem Electronic Hungary and universities” project, „MicroGrid energetics” research area

Project identifier: GINOP-2.2.1-15-2017

Partner: SagemCom Ltd, University of Szeged

Duration: 2019.01.01 - 2021.04.30.

Contact person: Dr. Attila Fodor

The goal of the „MicroGrid energetics” research area: Using the (Production simulator for production station sizing, with models, equipment efficiency, diesel generator performance) engineering tool the user will be able to simulate the behavior of an electrical grid or microgrid with different weather at different times. The user will be able to set the cloud percentage of the sky, the temperature, etc. The user will be able to set the loading profile of the customers and after it the simulator will calculate the currents, voltages, power, loads, etc. of the grid. In the „Distribution simulator for distribution network sizing, with user-customizable cables properties, voltage drops” engineering tool the simulator for distributed network sizing will be able to simulate the voltages, currents, active and reactive powers of the grid elements.

The simulator will be able to calculate the losses of the transmission line. The simulator will be able to detect the following:

  • the overvoltage and the undervoltage points of the grid,
  • the unsupported behavior of the customers.

Because the core simulator of the engineering tools are similar during the subproject the workers of the PE developped only one simulator and two modules for the grid simulator.
